How does GCN fuel your passion?

After Jake's junior year in high school, he was fortunate enough to travel to Tanzania, Africa. Witnessing the severe tribulations that arise for the indigenous people of East Africa, a shiver ran through his body. Something had to be done, but what? Following Jake's senior year, a return to Tanzania took place where he met with David Robinson, son of baseball legend Jackie Robinson. Discussing coffee and the lack of education in the country, Jake left with a greater meaning and a burning passion to help. Starting school that following fall at the University of Denver, the newly lit passion quickly developed into a fiery torch as Jake surrounded himself with like-minded students in a leadership program.

Global CaféNation continues to fuel this burning passion by providing the opportunity to fulfill Jake's life dream to alleviate poverty and to motivate others by providing educational opportunities around the globe. Many people obtain a "feel-good" feeling when they help one person. Imagine how the world can be a better place if people band together by continuing everyday practices, coffee drinking, to help thousands of people lift themselves out of poverty.

Favorite Coffee

The exquisite roast of Guatemalan Trapichitos satisfies Jake's taste every time he manages to get a hand on a bag. What amazes him is how the initial taste of delicious caramel flavors transitions to a more sweet, tangy sensation as it moves toward the back of his mouth. To top it all off, Jake enjoys how this lightly roasted coffee settles with its smooth, buttery finish.

Favorite Origin

Tanzania is without a doubt Jake's favorite. Traveling to see firsthand the help that Global CaféNation provides on a daily basis, how can Jake and others not love this beautiful country? As the beans are gathered, the sun sets over Mt. Kilimanjaro and a lion roars off in the distance. It's hard to beat this coffee origin in East Africa.
